With all the new wineries coming out with artisinal, boutique Chards and Pinots, we give praise to the folks at Patz & Hall for making waves back in the late 80s for doing exactly that and for doing it really well. The Napa Valley 2007 Chard is one of their best efforts to date. Blessed with a spectacular vintage, they sourced stunning fruit from their vineyard partners Hudson Vineyard in Carneros, Antinori Vineyard up on Atlas Peak and Garvey Vineyard in Oakville. Full-bodied with balanced acidity and notes of green apple- this is a perfect bottle for the summer. USA
