Back when cellars were lit only by candlelight, winemakers used tastevins like this one to help them judge the clarity and color of the wine they were sampling. Although not strictly necessary today, we think they add a certain flair to any tasting. This one was handcrafted in Peru for Sandra Jordan and has a complex scallop shape designed to catch the light, as well as a ring handle for a neck chain.
