Up on the Sonoma Coast, conditions are perfect for growing naturally high acidity (a good thing!) Chard grapes. Proprietors Walt and Joan Flowers make sure the results are perfect too, by only hand cultivating their vineyards, by only harvesting in the chilly morning air and by using the old-fashioned battonage method of stirring up the lees. Here their Andreen Gale is a softer, more complex Chard thanks to all the hand care. USA
