We like to think that the Maldonado family is one of the great examples of the American Dream. When Lupe arrived in Napa from Mexico 40 odd years ago he was just another hardworking vineyard grunt. But through blood, sweat, tears and some profound farming intuitions, Lupe rose to vineyard manager with Newton and other top management gigs followed. Today, with his son Hugo, they own 10 magnificent acres in Jamison Canyon. With the help of winemaker and family friend Abe Schoener, their dream of creating fabulous wine is realized. USA
