Some winemakers start with lofty PhDs from UC Davis; some start as humble cellar rats. Adam Lee at Novy however, started by majoring in the Comparative History of the Frenchand American Prison Systems. Luckily for us, this led nowhere career-wise. Skipping ahead, he and his wife Dianna pooled their resources and bought some meticulous Syrah fruit in Anderson Valley, hand-making just a few barrels. Well, they got a glass in "RP's" hands and he fell in love with it. Moral of the story? Great wines, like great winemakers, are where you find them. USA
